Eating Out Guide – Pizza Express
Founded in 1965, Pizza Express has over 400 outlets across the UK serving a mixture of pizzas, pasta, rissotto and sharing sides. The meals are traditionally based on Italian dishes, however due to the nature of certain ingredients (such as bread/dough and olive oil), the recipes can be high in calories and seem like a nightmare when following the Extra Easy plan – but don’t worry, here’s a number of items to look out for!
At 10½ Syns per generous portion, the leggera superfood salad with chicken is the best option on the menu. It’s packed with mixed leaves, rocket, cucumber, red and yellow peppers, rice, chickpeas, edamame beans and pine nuts. Ask for yours without the creamy dressing and you’ll reduce the Syns – count 8½ Syns for the whole plate. The Leggera Pollo Arrabbiata is a delicious 6½ Syns.
