Letter from Malcolm Walker (Founder/CEO, Iceland Stores) about the Ready Meal Launch

Dear Slimming World Consultant

I wanted to send you a personal and heartfelt note of thanks for the tremendous enthusiasm you and your members have shown for our new Slimming World food range. Though I knew you had been waiting a long time for this launch, I was absolutely bowled over by the queues outside many stores on launch day and by the huge demand for the products – not just then but every day since.

The whole Iceland team have also been absolutely delighted with the overwhelmingly positive feedback on the products that we have received so far.

As you know, we spent two years perfecting this new range with you. Though we manufactured what we believed was a substantial stock of products in anticipation of a successful launch, we have been overwhelmed by how fast they are selling – which is a credit to you all! Together, we’ve delivered the best ever launch in Iceland’s history, marking the start of what we hope will be a long and fruitful partnership.

We are making all the Slimming World products in our own Iceland factory, working flat-out to keep pace with this unprecedented demand and making urgent plans to increase our capacity so that we can make many more meals than we’d anticipated, without jeopardising product quality.

As a result, there may be some gaps in supply of some products at times over the coming weeks. Do please bear with us if this happens. I can assure you that we are doing everything we can to meet your expectations and that more of your favourite products will be on sale very soon.
